Volume on DIFC laws is released

Dubai’s Dispute Resolution Authority’s Academy of Law has published the first volume of “Commentaries on the DIFC Laws”, providing analysis on the legal principles and practices of the DIFC Courts.
Such commentaries are used to aid legal practitioners by providing comprehensive overviews of areas of law including employment and contract law.
The first issue includes commentaries on the DIFC’s Companies Law, Arbitration Law, Law of Damages and Remedies and Law of Obligations among others, by lawyers from firms such as Stephenson Harwood, Clyde and Co, Jones Day and Clifford Chance.
“As DIFC common law jurisprudence literally emerges with every new judgment, the need for thoughtful legal analysis becomes imperative for judges, lawyers, and academicians who seek research materials and guidance,” said DIFC Courts chief justice Michael Hwang.
